Bugatti Engine Modification

Creating Engine

Bugatti did two things to create a compact machine capable of producing 1,000 hp. The first and most obvious is turbocharging.
Bugatti Veyron

The Bugatti Veyron's 16-cylinder engine giant that produces 1001 horsepower for a top speed of more than 250 mph. And it is the passenger car.

If you've read How Turbochargers Work, you know that one easy way to create more powerful machines without making bigger engine is the way things are more air into the cylinder on each intake stroke. Turbochargers do that. A turbo pressurizes the incoming air into the cylinder so the cylinder can hold more air.

If your goods twice as much air in each cylinder, you can burn twice as much gasoline. In fact, it was not quite perfect ratio like that, but you get the idea. The Bugatti uses a maximum turbo boost of 18 PSI to double the power output of the engine.

Therefore, Bugatti turbocharging allows for the cut size from 16-liter engine returned to a more manageable 8 liters.

To produce a lot of air pressure, the Bugatti requires four separate turbochargers arranged around the engine.

To maintain a high RPM redline, and to reduce the lag time when you press the gas pedal, is to double the number of cylinders. The Bugatti has a very rare 16-cylinder.

There are two easy ways to make a 16-cylinder engine.

* One way is to put two V-8 engines in-line with one another. Then you connect the output shaft of the two V-8 together.
* After that put the two 8-cylinder line beside each other.

This last technique, in fact, is the first way to create 16-cylinder Bugatti cars in the early 20th century

For the Veyron, Bugatti choose a more challenging path. Essentially, Bugatti merged two V-8 engine into one another, and then let them both the same crankshaft. This configuration creates W-16 engine found in the Veyron

Price Ferarri 458 Modification Design

Two-seat sports car Ferrari F430, which was introduced five years ago, will soon be retired and replaced by Italian Ferrari 458. has a large ratio of energy but with a more fuel efficient.

Ferrari 458 Italy, like some of their latest products, designed by the famous automobile design house Pininfarina. Following form Enzo Ferrari, the sports car world by the inspiration of the race - which was not produced.

The name comes from the 458 series with a 4500 cc engine V-8 formation is placed directly behind the chair. This machine has the power ratio with the largest cylinder engines than any other Ferrari.

Total of horsepower this car has a 562 power, power enough for two trucks tronton. However, this machine is more efficient than the Ferrari F430 replaced. Ferrari F430 "only" have the power of 483 horsepower.

Not clear how the price of the Ferrari that went on sale in 2010 itersebut. But the F430 is replaced, has a base price of U.S. $ 188 thousand (USD 1.8 billion).

Unlikely Vintage Racer 1962 Renault Caravelle

So that Alpine A110 was a little too pricey, but you still have your heard set on a french 4-cylinder hung out behind the rear axle? Well maybe this 1962 Caravelle VARA race car is for you. Find it here on eBay in La Habra, California. We really like the look from the rear, with an interesting color scheme and a tasteful taillight design. At this point the car is so modified that we would consider chopping down the windscreen and deleting the forward rollcage hood to make for a cleaner aesthetic. We’re not sure if there are any early-60’s 3-lug performance wheels, but we’d like to see something swapped in for these steelies. The interior features a custom gauge layout, single racing seat, and metal coolant tubes running along the passenger floor to the forward radiator. The engine is a big valve 908 with a single 42 DCOE Weber carburetor. It has an remote oil cooler and drinks from a fuel cell mounted up front. We’re not sure how long it would take to master the handling of this Caravelle, but we’d love to see it attempted. This car will sell cheap and would be a conversation piece at the track, especially if some of the details were improved and the stance dialed in. It is quirky but we applaud the creativity and think it has good potential.

Subaru Turbo Diesel

I love diesel technology! Diesel is clean, cheap, powerful, and most of all efficient. Diesel fuel offers anywhere from 18 to 30 percent more energy than gasoline. While diesel's higher density results in higher greenhouse gas emissions per litre compared to gasoline, the 20–40% better fuel economy achieved by modern diesel-engined automobiles offsets the higher-per-litre emissions of greenhouse gases, and produces 10-20 percent less greenhouse gas emissions than comparable gasoline vehicles. I am super excited that subaru is bringing out a diesel boxer engine... why? Well its is going to running amazingly smooth, have tons of torque, and be great on fuel. The new fuel for the next 5 years (in North America) is going to be diesel. I am honestly angered that it took so long to bring diesel the North America, as everything in Europe has been running on diesel for years. Well... salute! I accept this age of diesel, lets continue to develop this technology where we can still have power, and fuel effiency.

a street legal car with a full interior

Griggs Racing Mustangs had some of the fastest times at the Ultimate Track Car Challenge last month. The main car Griggs was showing off was the red 2008 GR40TT below, which was quick as hell despite the fact that it's a street legal car with a full interior, AC, stereo, etc. The fastest Griggs Mustang was a 1998 GR40, which had the third best time of the day with Ernesto Roco behind the wheel (sadly, this car got wrecked). A 2004 GR40 driven by Darrel Anderson placed fourth in Independent Varsity. John Griggs also produced some very respectable lap times in a 1998 GR40 Cobra convertible (you can see the official results at Grassroots Motorsports). And a newer black Shelby GT500 that had undergone the Griggs treatment was just kind of hanging out and looking good. I have a ton of pics after the jump.
